Lemon Chicken

This tasty, healthy recipe pairs chicken breasts with a creamy and tangy lemon sauce, featuring NutraSalt Lemon & Herbs low sodium seasoning. All of the flavor you want, with none of the high sodium content you don't. Now that's good!

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 4 tbsp. Margarine
  • 3 tbsp. Flour
  • 2 c. Sour cream
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Herb NutraSalt
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 c. Sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp. Chopped parsley
  • 4 Green onions, chopped
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon (optional)
  • 3-4 tbsp. Lemon juice

Directions

  1. Brown breasts lightly in margarine
  2. Remove from skillet and place in casserole dish
  3. Stir flour into butter remaining in skillet.
  4. Cook 1 minute.
  5. Add sour cream and seasonings
  6. Simmer for 4 minutes
  7. Add mushrooms, parsley, onions, lemon rind and 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  8. Pour sauce over chicken breasts.
  9. Cover and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees
  10. Before serving, skim butter off top and stir in remaining lemon juice to taste.
