Ingredients

  • 1 regular size, whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 lb. Sausage
  • 1/3 c. Minced onion
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 diced bell pepper, seeds and membrane removed
  • 1 c. Rice
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp. Thyme
  • 1/4 c. Chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. Spicy Cajun NutraSalt
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 lg. Can tomato sauce
  • 3 c. Boiling water

Directions

  1. Sauté chicken and remove. Add onions and sausage to oil or butter. Stir in green pepper, celery and rice. Mix well and add chicken. Cover well with water, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer until chicken is tender and rice is done, 30-45 minutes.
